Izmir Airport Train

The rail transportation in Izmir is called Izban and it is a suburban train.

Taking the train it is one of the most convenient ways to travel between Izmir Airport and downtown, not only in terms of efficiency, also for price.

From Izmir Airport you get easily to Konak Station, which is the main subway station in downtown. To get there, you can take both North and South lines, since both stops at Izmir Airport.

Also, if you wish to transfer to any other location within the city, there are a couple of transfer stations, Halkapinar and Alsancak. Total trip time is about 30 minutes.

From 06:00 am to 00:00 am, very frequent on rush hours (every 10 minutes). 

Location

Find the Train Station (Adnan Menderes Havaalani) adjacent to the International Terminal. You can get there by a covered walkway, it won’t take you much more than a 5-minute walk. 

Fares

Passengers will need a ’3-5 Bilet’ (ticket) available at the ticket desk allowing you 2, 3 or 5 train rides.

Price for 2 rides is 7.00 TL.

One ride means 90 minutes by public transport in Izmir.
